My name is Amanda, and I’ve always wanted to be a writer. My educational background is in mass communications with a focus in journalism, and in my career I’ve leveraged what I know about storytelling to share brand awareness for deeply complex products and services. My career has evolved in varied industries, but one constant remains: I enjoy untangling scientific and technical topics, making them relatable and understandable, for audiences whose lives could be changed by new ideas. In the past, I’ve written about nuclear cleanups and STEM education to leading-edge pharmaceutical commercialization for new therapies. In my current role, I write about how companies can work together to safely deliver targeted, personalized experiences to consumers through data collaboration. 

 

I’m also a degree candidate for a Master's Degree in Journalism from Harvard Extension School, so I continue to stay sharp in journalistic writing and I’ve begun to explore where my pen leads me in the world of fiction.

 

When I’m not snug at my desk with a cup of coffee and my laptop, I’m in the backyard of my blue cottage in the foothills of Tennessee with my partner, Matt, and hound dog, Moe. Today my home is in rural Appalachia, but I spent half my life in New Jersey, and I return every so often just for a good slice of pizza.
